Mastercam Offers Free Month‑Long Access to CAD/CAM Training During Manufacturing Month

In observance of Manufacturing Month, Mastercam is opening up its full CAD/CAM training portfolio—via Mastercam University—free of charge from October 1 through October 31. The goal is to empower students, educators, and professionals to explore and deepen their skills in modern manufacturing and machining.

What Is Manufacturing Day / Month?

Manufacturing Day (MFG Day) was originally established by the Manufacturing Institute and the National Association of Manufacturers to spotlight the manufacturing sector and its career pathways. Over time, the recognition has expanded into a full Manufacturing Month, with educational events, workshops, facility tours, and digital opportunities across October.

What You Get With This Offer

By participating, users get unlimited access to Mastercam University during October, unlocking:
  • A training library of over 398 video lessons across 9 course tracks
  • More than 25 hours of expert-led instruction
  • A spectrum of learning levels from beginner to advanced (e.g. multi-axis, mill-turn)
  • Courses including Mastercam Basics, Core, MP Post Basics, STEM: Principles of Manufacturing and Machining, Mill‑Turn, Multiaxis, Lathe, and 3D Mill
  • A global community of learners (over 18,000 users already engaged)
These resources are designed to support machinists, programmers, and educators in building and refining their CAD/CAM capabilities.

Who Can Participate / Extended Access

Anyone with a myMastercam account is eligible to access the October free training. New users can sign up for a myMastercam account to get started.

Furthermore, students and educators may qualify for extended free access beyond October if:
  • Their educational institution holds a current Mastercam CONNECT license
  • Their email domain ends with “.edu” or “.ac”
This ensures that academic users can continue leveraging the training library year‑round.

Why It Matters

Manufacturing Month serves as a platform to challenge outdated perceptions of manufacturing, emphasizing its innovation, technological foundation, and opportunities for career growth. Through this initiative, Mastercam aims to strengthen awareness of manufacturing careers and support the development of essential skills across the industry.
